The story of Chester Frame Company is one of unexpected beginnings, bold decisions, and a whole lot of excitement. It all started in the most unlikely of places—a small loading dock behind my frame shop. Within a few years, I decided to sell my retail shop and focus fully on Chester Frame Company. It felt like the right time to dive in headfirst, and every single day since has been a thrilling ride of growth, challenges, and endless opportunities.

A look inside the workshop. Premium handcrafted finished FSC certified wood frames meticulously crafted ensuring longevity.

Our Collaboration
The hotel is full of smooth contours which is why we chose Chester Frames to work with. Bringing warmth into the spaces with hand-crafted FSC certified pine woods sourced from the North East, each frame was hand made, carefully selecting the placement of each wood knot, and grain, providing a rustic imperfect feel. Populus used Chester Frames for all prints for the hotel, ensuring that the look was seamless in every room.

How we sourced art is as important as sourcing the wood and craftsmanship for our frames. This wood was harvested sustainably in the North East of the United States and lovingly hand built by framers in an old barn in CT.
Frames coincides with artwork for Sam Lee, Douglas Atwill, and Matthew Rucker.
