Environmental Stewardship
Populus is a love letter to the natural world, specifically the Aspen Forests of the Rocky Mountain West. We take a holistic approach to stewardship, taking care of the the environments we interact with across our urban community, the wildlands of Colorado and local farms and ranches.
Design and innovation
Populus uses Biophilic Design to evoke the feeling of being in a forest throughout your stay. Beautiful reclaimed materials and innovative construction solutions bring the space to life while reducing our impact on the planet. Ask the front desk for examples!
Local partners
Populus partners with local farmers and ranchers to source then best quality indregients for people and planet. The producers we work with use regenerative practices to improve the health of the land with each planting season and produce delicious food while doing so. Some examples producers we work with are Esoterra Culinary Gardens and Flying B Bar cattle ranch.
One Night One Tree
Your stay is helping restore forests! Populus will plant a tree for every night you stay with us. These trees will help restore forests damaged by wildfire and pine beetle.
Populus Stewardship Grant
The Populus Stewardship Grant supports people and organizations working across agriculture, place + community and ecosystem protection.
The Populus Stewardship Grant aims to deepen our connections to our communities and ecosystem while supporting the work that matters to us.
This grant is voted on democratically by our team, ensuring all areas of Populus have a voice in creating change.
